Charlie Sheen a surprise presenter at Emmy Awards, no hard feelings

(AMERIKA BULLETIN) Charlie Sheen, had nothing but nice words for his former “Two and a Half Men” colleagues when he presented an Emmy award Sunday night. He couldn’t have been more gracious about his old bosses and colleagues.

“Thank you, good evening,” Sheen said and continued, “Before I present outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, my old category, I want to take a moment to get something of my chest and say a few words to everybody here from Two and a Half Men. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television. Now, on to the Emmy.”

“My old category,” Sheen said as he presented the award for best actor in a comedy to Jim Parsons of CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory,” who also won last year.

Accepting his Emmy from Sheen, Best Actor winner Jim Parsons of the Big Bang Theory quipped of his win: “This is so odd for so many reasons!”

According to published reports, Fox and the Emmy producers were being pressured by Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros. to drop Sheen as a presenter.

Ashton Kutcher has been hired to replace Sheen as the show’s star and will make his debut Monday in the show’s season premiere. Also that night, a Comedy Central roast of Sheen, taped a week ago, will be aired.
