There’s talk on the Turkish media that Mel Gibson will be star in the Turkish film “Çanakkale Geçilmez (Çanakkale is impassable)” depicting the Turkish soldiers defending Gallipoli against, British, French and ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) armies in 1915.
The movie’s director, Serdar Akar, confirmed that Mel Gibson will play the Anzac or British army officer, according Turkish reports. 20 million dollars budget war epic, will shoot June, 2012.
Mel Gibson played, Gallipoli , a 1981 Australian film. That film also helped to launch his international career.
